What are UNBL workspaces? How do I request a workspace?

UNBL workspaces provide a secure work area where data on any scale can be added and shared with a set of specified users. They offer a secure area to collaborate on your projects and can provide a way for GIS experts to collaborate with non-technical experts using a user-friendly interface.

Three functionalities are available through workspaces that are not available on the public platform:

  1. Ability to upload places;

  2. Ability to add your own datasets and share privately and/or publicly;

  3. Ability to add our ELSA Integrated Spatial Planning Tool to run a spatial prioritization analysis for your country.

UNBL workspaces are available to all non-commercial users. To request a workspace please navigate to the UN Biodiversity Lab workspaces page and fill out the form.
